I have always been interested in science and nature, birds and bugs, plants and trees, conservation and preservation. This effort is a tribute to everything in nature.

I am concerned about what we are doing to our planet, including its plant and animal life. I think that not enough people take earth-involved issues seriously, particularly global warming.

I'm very much convinced that humans are a big part of the reason for global warming and all of us have a responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.

There are many activities that require very little energy expenditure except that which is produced by our own bodies. Getting out into nature and enjoying the little things like bird song, leaf crunching, listening to the wind in the trees -- these things are free, create no pollution and are good for the mind, body and spirit.

Join me in celebrating nature.

This website is a work-in-progress and probably always will be but here you will find articles about various aspects of nature--you'll learn about birds, bears, rodents, spiders, big cats, little cats, dogs and so much more.

Here you will find links to environmental conservation and preservation organizations as well as wildlife care and rescue entities.

Since I live at Lake Tahoe and am very much committed to promoting in addition to preserving its pristine beauty, you will find much to do about Tahoe in these pages.

Take a walk on the dark side. This is a blog I started during my brief marriage to a con man. It was the lowest point in my life.
